Supplemental Privacy Policy

This Supplemental Privacy Policy incorporates and supplements the Creative Commons Master Privacy Policy with respect to the information collected through use of openpolicynetwork.org. The purpose of this Supplemental Privacy Policy is to provide more specific disclosures that relate to the use of openpolicynetwork.org. The Institute for Open Leadership is a project of the Open Policy Network and covered under this Supplemental Privacy Policy as well as the Master Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between this Supplemental Policy and the Master Privacy Policy, the specific terms of this policy take precedence with respect to the use of openpolicynetwork.org.
On openpolicynetwork.org, Creative Commons may collect and use your personal information in the following ways (in addition to those uses described in the Master Privacy Policy):

  • If you wish to seek technical or other assistance from the Open Policy Network, you may be required to complete a contact form asking for certain personal information. This information will only be used to communicate with you. This information may be shared with employees and contractors of Creative Commons, as well as other members of the Open Policy Network. Your personal information will not be used or shared except as provided herein without your permission.
  • If you wish to join as a member of the Open Policy Network, you will be required to join the Open Policy Network Google Group and abide by the Open Policy Network Participation Agreement, as the same may be updated from time to time. The email you associate with this group will be visible by administrators of the Open Policy Network Google Group, and may be shared with other members of the Open Policy Network. The email you associate with this group will not otherwise be shared without your permission. Note that by signing up to the Open Policy Network Google Group, you also agree to the Google Terms and Conditions for that service.
  • If you are interested in applying to be a fellow with the Institute for Open Leadership, you may be required to provide certain personal information. This information will be used to communicate with you and to assess your application. This information may be shared with employees and contractors of Creative Commons, as well as other members of the Open Policy Network. Your personal information will not be used shared except as provided herein without your permission.
